Beowulf Part 1

We were supposed to go out on the 7th. Then the 14th. Then the 16th. Then, I finally got fed up and said, lets just go out on the 17th (since my other outing was canceled for the 3rd time!).

So, Rezza, Brigitte Shing Yun, and I went to Mid Valley!

I arrived 10 minutes late (11.10) because my sister thought I was going to One Utama, and since I had my Private Practice episode in my Ipod, I didn't realise her mistake till we were almost there.

Met Brigitte and Shing Yun, and we went to the French Fair! It had everything from food to cars to French programs, lessons and Universities, and clothes. After standing around this car for about 4 minutes not knowing if we were allowed to take pictures with it, the salesman came up to us, and I took a leap of faith.

Salesmen : Yes yes sure!

Then, we went to Robinsons at the Gardens because I was so enticed by the Christmas deco! Once inside, I remembered I needed to find a bag for my mom, so after exploring the first 2 floors of Robinsons, and then heading to Braun Buffel just outside, we went to Graffiti Tee, which is an exellent shop selling t-shirts with grafitti on it. We were all gaga-ing over one t-shirt which had the days of the week on it (Wacky Wednesday, F***ing Friday). The price was gaga-worthy too.

RM69.90.

Bye bye Graffiti Tee!

We headed to Itallianies and ordered our lunch (Caesar's Salad, Chicken Milanese and Carbonara Spaghetti) and grumbled waited a full half hour waiting for Rezza to arrive. I had ordered a drink, but realised with one sip that it had bananas in it, so rang Rezza and persuaded him to have it.

When Rezza arrived he didnt know how to get to Itallianies. I saw him in the distance, but he couldnt see me, so I started directing him like a puppet instead of walking.

"Turn around...some more! some more! Walk straight! No, turn somemore!!!"

We finished eating at 1.45, the movie was at 2. We rushed over, and made it just in the nick of time. Then Rezza and I wanted drinks, so I went out to get them, and by the time I got back 2 minutes of the movie had passed (When I walked in and out of the cinema, they didn't even check my tickets!).

After the movie, we accompanied Briggite to buy her breakfast for the following morning as she was leaving for China. I also got myself a doughnut at Dunkin, and then after Rezza bought some food of his own, we saw Brigitte off, and went back to GSC to see if we could get tickets for Bee Movie.

We tried EVERY SINGLE WAY! Booking online with Rezza's RM3888 phone, using the Kiosk, ringing up Daya who had JUST LEFT THE LINE, and booking with Easy Access, but none worked! The queue was reaching up to the Food Court, so we just gave up and wondered where to eat dessert. We took 45 minutes to decided, during which when I looked back at the other two who were walking so slowly, I banged into some dude, and kept walking into him without realising it.

The Bee Movie Christmas tree :

On the way we stopped at the Nokia store to activate Rezza's GPS, and then to Elle where Shing Yun was looking at the clothes on sale, and then finally we sank into the chairs at Starbucks. As soon as I walked in, I thought "Wow, this feels so Australian", and then I scolded myself for being silly. But then 2 minutes later, Shing Yun said the same thing. They had decorated for Christmas and it was oh-so cozy, and that is definitely my favourite coffee outlet to date. We had so much fun sitting and talking, and Rezza belanja-d us! It was between that or the Haagen Daaz Chocolate Fondue.

Along the way, came this deaf French lady, who was selling keychains. It was so heartbreaking. I bought a keychain for RM5, all the while thinking "If I was richer, I would give so much more".

The keychain is so cool! Its a bottle opener! Everyone who saw it knew this except me...hmm...

During the conversation, I suddenly remembered something that I've wanted to see since Form 3. I never knew where it was, and I heard so many people talking about it, so after our long conversation, we headed up there.

I was quite disappointed. For all the hype, it was nothing! But satisfied that I saw what I previously thought to be was part of the wallpaper, we headed to MPH to use the computers. Oh by the way, the shop was I Need House. :)

We stayed at MPH for an hour or more, and then Rezza's dad picked us up, sent Shing Yun home, picked up Rezza's brother, and sent me to Selangor Club to meet my parents for dinner. Halfway there, I realised he was going to Royal Selangor Club, and not Royal Selangor Club ANNEXE and so we had to make a big U-turn to get back to Damansara.

Sorry Uncle!

Rezza's dad has a lot of general knowledge...

Anyway, part 2 is the review on Beowulf.

Oh, and I indulged my childishness.
