Mid Valley Part 2. Finally.

Beowulf was a strange movie. I walked in 3 minutes late ‘cause I had volunteered to get the drinks, and when I glanced up at the screen I saw men celebrating winning war in the ways they did those days. Except of course later I learnt they were just celebrating nothing. Only after 10 minutes did I realise they were animated. It was amazing. The effects, graphics, everything was superb.

For the first 45 minutes of the movie, I found it ridiculous. But then, I got into the “vibe” of the story. It was supposed to be a mythical story, and once I understood it, it turned out to be a fantastic movie.

Really. I watched it again as a way to say sorry to it for laughing at it initially.

Beowulf is based on an old English epic poem that was written between the 8th and 11th century. The author is unknown, and the poem is noted for its length. A rather unsuccesful movie with the same name was made in 1999, and they made changes to the original poem. The 2007 version however was a box office smash, hitting number 1. Probably due to its all star cast. And of course a "naked" Angelina Jolie.

Beowulf…go watch it!
