After buying a multi-million dollar house in the Hollywood Hills, Hilary got around to launching her first clothing line : Stuff (or distributed as Stuff by Hilary Duff). The clothes were for girls around the age of 14, and was distributed through Target in the US, Kmart and Target in Australia, Zellers in Canada, and Edgars in South Africa.
However, now Stuff has expanded its products into furniture and jewelry and next year, her teen clothing line will be out, targeting an older consumer base (up to the age of 19).
In 2006, Hilary signed an exclusive deal with Elizabeth Arden to create a line of perfumes. The first 'With Love' was released through Stuff, and has become the highest selling celebrity fragrance of 2006 and 2007.
Next summer 'Wrapped With Love' will be released.
Hilary and her dog, Lola, became fully playable characters on the Sims 2 Pets in October 2006.
Hilary and her mother also set up Rafter H, a production company, which has produced Material Girls.
In 2005, Forbes listed her as the highest earning teen celebrity, with an income of $15 million. In 2006 she earned $12 million.
She is the second richest teen celebrity in the world in 2007, with a personal fortune of $25million, only behind Daniel Radcliffe. She also appeared on the Forbes Celebrity 100.
But she gives money away too! She donated $200,000 to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and sponsored food for a million of the victims. She also is the spokesperson of Kids with a Cause and is an active person in charity.
Recently she launched 'Blessings in a Backpack' which gives out free healthy food to schools in the US.
