Surprise Surprise Season 2, Part 1

Mun Yees birthday was on the 26th of September and Ju's (and Hilary Duff's) on the 28th and Chings on the 30th...

since their good friends of mine, I knew I had to give them something, and so decided to do it all at one go...so I got the idea for a SURPRISE PARTY (yes again =p) from Chings reply to my question (or at least, one of my less private questions)

Me : Chels...what do you want for your birthday? Only two months to go!
C : oh, i want my friends to really surprise me


Surprise...keyword =)

So, started planning la, and made sure I didnt bug ray mun this time (read : I didnt bug him TOO MUCH)

I actually was gonna do for Ian Sann as well, since his birthday was on the 30th anyway, but I didnt really know who his good friends in school were, so decided better not invite total strangers...

So in the end I arrived at a decision. Ching Ching (CC)'s and Mun Yee (MY)'s parties would be lunch at Itallianies, while Ju's would be dinner at Ms Read : Be Delicious.

I told MY that it was CC's surprise party, and CC that it was MY's. Everything was going fine, and I practically HUNTED down CC's friends through the miracle-we-take-for-granted-Friendster, and MY's through the-miracle-we-take-for-granted-her-handphone and the scratched-useless-brand-we-call-Sony Erricson that belonged to Shing Yun.

THEN, 3 weeks before the big day (yes, you really expect me to go into a whole 1 months planning in detail? let the glossing over begin!) CC, Aaron, Beng Keat and I were in the elevator in KPD A, and this monstrosity happened

Flashback:
CC : hey, ruwan, I was talking to my friend Choey Ling last night right...and she wanted to take me out for my birthday, but since MY's birthday is on the same day, can I invite her over for lunch?
Me : oh...okay....sure sure *im sure when she invites her, shell remember that its a surprise and wont let off anything*

Back to Elevator :
CC : eh ruwan, I was talking to Choey Ling last night, and I said that my friends surprise party was on the 30th and wether she would like to join us, and guess what she said?
Me : errr...i dunno...what?
CC : she said, eh, I thought it was YOUR surprise?

..........................................

okay...nevermind...nevermind...the good thing about having three surprises on the same day is that theres a 1/3 probability that at least one would work right??

So, everything went on normally, and the planning though having a few glitches in the form of Itallianies policies, (they wanted confirmation of the EXACT number of pax and the EXACT time that everyone would be there, or a fine would be charged), suddenly Ching said that she only wanted DU friends at her segment of the party with the exception of Yi Wayn. So I managed to wheedle down her list with my reverse psychology methods...an example:

Me : eh, kah yang, Ching said that she only wants DU friends at her party, so would you like to come for Mun Yees instead? (read : would you like to come to someone you dont even know's party because the person you know doesnt want you to come anymore?)
KY : errr...nevermind I wont come

Me : eh, Wai Ee, Ching said that she only wants DU friends at her party, so would you like to come for Mun Yees instead? But, KY and Andrew are not coming, so you might not know anyone
WE : oh....nevermind I wont come

Me (to myself): I invited Andrew 2 months ago, Im sure he remembers, so I dont think Ill remind him la, if he remembers he can come la
