Dear Mr Lam,
How are you? Thank you for inviting me to join the loop. I'd be delighted to keep in touch with the rest of you guys, so please add me to the list of email addresses.
I am doing great in college-both in academia and socially. In fact, I have put in my university applications already, and I will be attending the Cambridge interview next Friday. Hopefully, the knowledge I have gained during my attachment will be of good use to me in the interview. I am happy to say the stuff I have learnt in this period of time is still fresh in my mind. [rachelchin: oh yeaaaaaaah..... a LOT of 'STUFF' is still FRESH in my mind alright. not just from the working point of view]
Time passes by really fast, doesn't it? My attachment stint feels like so long ago even though it has actually only been four months. I actually miss working at Shook Lin and Bok, and I plan to go back for another attachment in my upcoming term break. Will keep you posted. I heard a lot has changed there, ie most of the Chambering students I worked with in June have already 'graduated' and have become LA's. [rachelchin: SUNNY'S GONEEEEE!! AWRRRRR :( ]
Anyway, I have to take my leave now as I have an exam tomorrow. Please convey my warmest regards to the rest of the team at Shook Lin and Bok. Take care :)
Warmest regards,
Rachel Chin.
hmm. took me a whole TEN minutes to type it out. cos i had to THINK before writing, cos
a) i dont know what to say to someone who i hardly saw, even when i was there
b) make that worse since i've left SLB for approx 4 months
c) he's an OLD lawyer.. so.. i cant use all my funny funny short forms. i hope he knows what ':)' is. can't use casual language either.
d) i hope he doesnt reply. cos, if he does.... i really wont know what to say anymore.
