10 Years Ago I was:

In Primary One (1NII)! My first year of my long stint in Cempaka (back then it was just Cempaka, and not Cempaka Damansara).

My mummy was there throughout the day with all the other anxoius mummies, standing (and in my mummies case, sitting) along the corridor outside the classrooms, just incase their child was to start suffocating in class or something.

I remember on the first hour, of the first class of school, the students were walking in. Ms Kelly, the Math teacher had the first lesson. Everyone walked in, and she just completely ignored them except for this guy Ken. She got very excited about him (Hi Ken! How are you?! Hows your mom?!', and I remember immediately thinking 'Oh no. Things just got a lot harder. Now, theres a teachers favourite. UNFAIR!'

Ken and I became quite close friends, and I used to tease him a lot, and once he told my mom during lunch! SQUEALER!!! When I skipped Std 3, we didnt really talk anymore, and now hes mr-popular-tall-strapping-babe-magnet-with-deep-voice.

My best friends were Ro Wern, Nicole, Kamen and Christopher. All of them were smart, and Christoper was a genius, with the highest IQ Ive ever met. RW and Kamen (and Ken), are now SPM-ing back in Cempaka. Chris and Nicole are together in Alice Smith, and I dunno how to contact them.

And who was the top student? I dunno, but I was definitely in the Top Two. I know, such a change right? All the teachers feared my mom, and they (and students, and their parents) loved me, except for one (who feared my mom, but didnt like me), who the Mummy Gang (even the Chinese) thought was racist. So finally when my mom complained, they ganged up on Ms Kelly with her, and she got fired. But shes now back as a Registrar. Shes still scared of me =)




5 Years Ago I was :

In Secondary One (1 Terra)! Not one of my best years. I had been promoted from Aqua, and so didnt know anyone in my new class. I was sort of the misfit. I was friends with Azra, but it wasnt actually a real solid friendship. I didnt like Form One, because it was the only year I felt that I didnt really have many friends. I think it was mainly due to this that I dropped back into Aqua the next year, and that was so the best year of my life.

This was also the year of my first (obviously) secondary birthday party, which was lunch at Chilis BSC, and then a movie at 1U (JURASSIC PARK III!)

P.s. MY, this was also the year I was acquainted with Sue Anne (your cousin)





1 Year ago I was :

A Senior (5 Science II). The year would have been perfect if I had not obsessed about losing my best-friend-since-Secondary-Two-Gregory. I met a LIFETIME best friend, Azlin. And I also became close to this guy called Raymond, who can be aptly described in two words. Nice, Sensible. I just LOVED his house, and once I started on his PS2, there was no ending. And the best part was that he didnt mind!
All three of the people mentioned above are now at Trinity, Melbourne.

It was the last year in school, and I loved my class! (The best was still Form 2&3, but still).

The best ever class clowns - Wai Luen, Alex See, Horng Yaw, Jay Sern, Hafiz, Hsien Loong, Kim Fui (all in HELP, except Jay Sern whos at Cambridge Tutors College, UK, and Kim Fui -Trinity)

Thinking of F5, and that its all over, most of you away from parents overseas, with new lives, is my emo spot.

DONT GO EMO RUWAN!!! Itll never be the same, but Itll never be forgotten, and thats what matters.





Yesterday I was :

Since Im still pretty much recovering, lazed in front of the TV and computer all day long, while eating Mummys Home-Made chocolate cake (she takes orders!). At night time, last moment I didnt feel like going out for dinner anymore, and since my sister had gone out with her friend, and my parents cant live without me, they stayed home too, and we ordered in Pizza Hut.

My cousin/aunt dropped by unannouced with her 3 children + baby + maid in tow. Her hair was pulled back like Angelina Jolie, and she was wearing this gown, and sat bolt upright, unmoving, with her legs crossed, showing off her slit the WHOLE TIME, making her look like Cleopatra.

Her kids meanwhile, were far from Cleopatra-ish, and were running around wrecking my house, tripping all over the mini-steps, and giving me and my chipmunk such a headache.

Since I hadnt worn my retainers the 6 days that I was sick, my teeth have moved out at least 4mm, and now my retainers barely fit, and Im scared their ineffective, and my teeth will move out even more. And Im too scared to call my orthodontist, cause she might scold me :'(
