I MIGHT NOT GO TO AUSTRALIA
yes yes I know, that all this time with maximum certainty and confidence I have told you, and anyone else who has asked
You or anyone else who has asked : So, Ruwan, what are you planning to do after your A'
levels?
Me : I will be going to Melbourne Uni to do a degree in Accounting and Finance, and then sit for
my CIMA
And eventhough my mom had kept on wanting to send me over to the UK to study I have told her, and everyone else who has asked why I dont go to the UK to study
Mom and everyone else who has asked : Why dont you study in the UK?
Me : Its cold, dark, rainy and damp. And I barely know anyone there!
But now its :
You or anyone else who has asked : So, Ruwan, what are you planning to do after your A'
levels?
Me : I will be going to London to do a degree in Accounting and Finance, and then sit for

Mom : Your not going to study in the UK, its too far away, and you dont know anyone there
Dad : LET HIM APPLY IF HE WANTS TO!!!
So, yeah...
And the prob is, because for the last year I have planned out and prepared to go to Australia, my sudden change of heart (which happened sudenly without any reason last week) has left me stranded, lost and under a lot of stress
I DUNNO WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!
Ive filled in my application to Universities that are so out of my league (Lancaster, London School of Economics and Political Science, Bristol, Southhampton), and I dont know anything about them (other than LSE)
But, I have no idea how to write my Personal Statement, because with my obviously-low forecast, I have to write a FANTASTIC one to set me apart from the other low-forecast ones applying!!!
Furthermore, I have only JUST finished my CV, but I havent photostated any of my certs!!!!!!

AND I WANNA GO UK, BUT IM NEVER GONNA GET IN, LET ALONE INTO MY DREAM UNI (since a four days ago) LSE!!!! (which by the way is the first in the UK for a lot of courses)

another one of those ppl who are lost... haha... anyway u should know that ppl can study anywhere in the world, but if they plain suck, even if they study in LSE, no one will hire them.. and the fact malaysia has 12,000 unemployed accountants just doesn't seem very nice to hear...going to a good uni is just an added bonus on paper.i should know.. i've two cousins out of LSE.one graduated at 20 the other at 21..one is doing good in singapore and the other is unemployed in england.

well ruwan i was just telling u the facts so that u don't get all worked up n get all depressed and whatever else u will feel if u don't get accepted to uni's in england... and if by getting a job means ur parents/family/friends have to pull strings for u,i have no respect what so ever for ppl like tat.
n rachel my dear wonderful ex gf.. i know u'll get into one of those england uni's. but do prepare for the worse cause, ya i know u'll get all emo n all n u might just want to jump off a cliff or sumthing like that if u don't.
doesnt that mean you would have no respect for yourself? since when i asked you how you could go to the uk when it was too late to apply, you said that you could because of your parents?
