meanwhile the list was growing slowly but steadily...
But i was in a bit of a predicament...invite arun or not?
Well...he IS seoks friend, but then...i couldnt trust him to keep it a secret, and i didnt know if hell know anyone else there...so i decided to ask him the night before the party...but then i forgot...so...yeah...
everone was saying that TGIF is unbookable, but a short call to the manager practically had them begging me to book them, so i did...for 20 pecs. They reconfirmed with me every three days.
meanwhile, seok was trying to get me not to spend money. So she was trying to dig up my birthday gift to her, which i used to blackmail her into filling up the empty seat at my table at ball.
So i gave her some clues, which she in turn tried to find out from EVERYONE she knew, and no one could answer...wanna know the clues? I know you do!!!

5. It costs around 60
6. I got the present but havent payed for it yet
7. I frequent the shop where i 'bought' the gift
8. The shop has branches all over, and i go there very often
9. Youll like the gift - hopefully

Then one day when i was having my convo with seok, she was asking how i was gonna get money for her gift...so i said
'Aiyo, i can just tell me parents its my friends surprise birthday party and theyll give around 100.'
There was this lightyear of silence as my brains slowly registered what i said
Seok : oh whos surprise party?
Me : my friends...from australia...his brothers organizing, but i dun wana go!
Seok : so dont go la!
Me : but havent seen him in a long time...
Seok : go la then
Me : but then i dont like his friends....
Seok : aiyo, then save money la
Me : his brothers paying
Seok : up to you la!!!
That was quite a good save right?
anyway...i still wasnt satisfied with the 'everyone-inviteds-coming' list, so i decided to make a safety net incase people, being malaysians, cancel last minute...but then i thought...
they wont right?
huh was i wrong...
Two days before the big day, at 2am
Jun King : hey ruwan, so sorry but i cant make it for seoks birthday this saturday. I have to go to pd with my parents, its kind of a last minute thing ....................'
i cant really remember the rest, but he passed on his best wishes to seok
Me :
why is he the biggest component? cause he (borrowing a style of ray muns here) USED TO BE *cough*seoks*cough* *cough*crush*cough**cough*
and it would have been so fun for me and juen to make faces and tease her all the way through
be satisfied seok, thats all i have the heart to edit...im sure no one will blabber okay?
So NOONE BLABBER
anyway!!!
on the same day sam cancelled cause she had to go to her hometown.
then the next day, sue lynn messages me saying she wont be able to make it, but she would drop by before the movie to pass on the present.so it was still okay, but then on the morning of the surprise she cancels out
two days before, i asked julian if he could make it, and he says yes, and asks if hell have to chip in anything (wth!)...
then on the day he doesnt show up...hmmm....
also, on the day of the party see weng doesnt show up (which was partially my fault cause i only told ray mun to invite him the night before)
and then juen suddenly says she has ballet on that day. so of course that one is unforgivable la...so i managed to use my expert manipulating skills into making her come=)
Juen : eh ruwan i dont think i can come because ive already skipped ballet 3 times
Me : skip one more time la! even seoks skipping!
Juen : cannot la
Me : fine. if you dont go i wont know anyone there, so ill just not go too. Then i can plan everything and it can become ray muns gift to seok
*long pause*
Juen : Im coming.
hahaha
anyway...so what was the drama on that day?
