When I have my own house, I'm gonna get a real tree every year! Like my aunts place. My aunt is the self-professed head of the family right now, so we gather at her house every Christmas eve for dinner. However, this year shes flying in the face of a 60 year old tradition and having Christmas dinner on the 18th or 19th because her daughter will be down from Melbourne.
Which means Rezza's party was disrupted 'cause he apparently needs me to be there since I'm ordering the cake for him and booking the venue. Once I've done those things, not really necessary right?! But nvm la, free food for me two nights in a row :D
And I've always wanted to eat at Vincenzo. Yay yay! Can't wait.
Do you remember Elaine? She went to Australia in July, and is studying Business! She’s living by herself in a 3-bedroom house in the suburbs, and drives her Rav4 everyday to Uni. 30 minutes – 1 hour a day!
But I would so think it was worth it if I were to live in her house. It’s the same concept as Tropicana, it’s a golf and country club. Except it’s about 15 times more exclusive, and more Australian. In fact, it reminds me so much of the OC. The houses are separate by cul-de-sacs and parks and they look out onto the green golf turf. It’s really something. They have the club (in the OC it’s the yacht club, here it’s the country club) and is a perfect little self-sustaining community.
I’m dying here!
And Rezza. He’s going to live in the Harbour Breeze Lodge, which is right next to the Sydney Harbour! His apartment has “million dollar views of the Harbour”. And he only has to pay $250 per week or something.
In comparison, my apartment costs A$328 a week (RM 991 a week : they charge a flat rate of RM4263 a month, so that it averages out over the 6 months that I’m taking it for). The only view it has is the swimming pool. GRRR.
But I suppose its OK la! I’m getting a one-bedroom apartment. I wanted the $299 studio apartment, but apparently no one who took it last year wants to leave. Yeah right la.
If I like it on the first day, I have the opportunity to make it a 12 month contract (it’ll be A$300 a week). If not, I’ll keep it as a 6 month deal, and book Unilodge D1 or something to stay in when I return for Term 2.
Term 1 holidays end on July 27, and Term 2 starts on the 28th. So I’m glad I had a great birthday this year because it officially was my last one in Malaysia. (My birthday IS July 27, so it’s quite unlucky la).
Oh well...have to decide if I'm going to Sabah from Sunday to Wednesday or not. Don't really feel like it, but the hotel is really expensive and who can say no to a nice hotel? Dunno la!
Tata!
