The Golden Compass

I was supposed to meet Steph, Yee Ping and Rezza for a movie, but something came up, and so I ended up going with Shing Yun, Yee Ping and Rezza for The Golden Compass!

I met Ping at 12.15 at MV, and as I walked towards the ATM and passed the really great decorations, I thought "I wanna take a pic!". So later la.





Ping met me at the ATM line where I had been lining up for a good 4 minutes, and whispered to me "eh eh, I 'll show you something!! Come with me!", and dragged me out of the line.

She took me to the ATM machines in Jusco! One problem though...THEY WERE OUT OF ORDER! "=.=

Hehehe...thanks anyway Ping!

I cajoled her into taking pics with the deco! She was willing enough to take pics of me, but was a bit shy herself, but in the end took ALMOST as many! Hahaha.

But I think orange was a bad choice...anyway...

We lined up again, and met Rezza and Shing Yun there. We then headed to collect the tickets which we had previously bought online, and then decided where to eat. I wanted something different, so we thought of Carls Jr., but then decided on Chilis. The difference? You'll see soon enough.






We ordered 2 side dishes, and 2 main courses to share! I ALWAYS have the Oldtimer, so this was a different experience for me. (Before the Oldtimer, it was Chicken Crispers every time for almost 5 years).

Bottomless Tostada Chips, Chicken Crispers, Fish and Chips, and the Oldtimer with Cheese :



I was the only one who had room for dessert, so we decided to have Starbucks after the movie.

And then, the Golden Compass!

Ping wanted to take the escalator, while I wanted to take the lift. I managed to pull Ping to the lifts, but once I got in, she and Shing Yun shut the door, walked all the way back to the escalators, and took them up.

Swt.

The movie was GUHREAT! But, two things...and these are NOT spoilers.

• In the trailer, theres a scene where Lyra turns around with the ice breaking at her feet and screams at Nicole Kidman "I WILL NEVER BE YOURS!". That scene wasn't there, and I was so looking forward to it. It is in the movie BOOK that is now being sold in MPH, but not in the movie itself.

• THEY DIDN'T FINISH THE BOOK! THERE'S ONE LAST CHAPTER IN THE BOOK WHICH THEY DIDN'T ADD IN! They're probably leaving it for the next movie, but still. So annoying man. 10 more minutes, and it would have been done!

I went to MPH hoping to buy the Subtle Knife (book 2), but after 20 minutes of searching, they said they could'nt find it, but there were plenty of Amber Spyglass (book 3). Shing Yun then had to leave, so Ping, Rezza and I went to Starbucks!

Ping had a Hot Chocolate and shared my American Baked Cheesecake, while Rezza had a Caramel Cream Fruppacino Venti.




I didn't want to spend much money on this outing since I'm saving up for my surprise gift to my family, and for Sha's present exchange. If someone kind takes pity on me and gives me money (:P) I'll also suggest a Secret Santa for Settedici! Or maybe I'll just save it la, and use it for other things that I need. Like more outings.

I had so much fun! :D

I would go out somemore, but since I'm earning, I pay for my own outings! An average of RM40 an outing makes me financially vulnerable! 'Cause after all, I bought my Ipod. Sigh. I think I'm poorer than...than....I dunno who also la! Hahah

Oh oh, at 7.35, Rezza's dad dropped me home, and waited 10 minutes while Rezza tried to speed up my internet. Thanks! Then I had McD's for dinner 'cause my parents were at a wedding so couldn't go out!
