When I went to BSC last week with my mom to collect our tickets for our comedy show, we stopped a while to watch them setting up the Christmas decorations. For some odd reason, I found all the workers so familiar. And they were all teenagers.
I was really confused until it suddenly hit me. THEY WERE CEMPAKANS.
I think they're 3 years my junior. So this year they should be wrapping up Form 4. Omg…I still remember some of them from school. They all look as immature, but obviously they're not ‘cause I left school 2 years ago.
What struck me more was how tall they all were. Yeesh. One was taller than me!
They were all taking turns to stare at me (they were all at different ends of the area), and I was wondering what was so amazing. Once I told my mom who they were though, she said “Oh! No wonder they're staring at your T-shirt!”
FLASHBACK
That evening, I was in a rush to leave the house so I just yanked open my cupboard drawer, grabbed a T-shirt, put it on and left.
RETURN TO PRESENT
I was wearing my Cempakan Lion King Production T-shirt. Don’t laugh Rachel. I haven’t worn it since they first few months of College. Hmph.
Anyway, the show was on Sunday. After church, we went to Dome and had our dinner. The Beef Lasagna at Dome has improved! There, I met Ras Adibah and Ras-Adibah's-Indian-fellow-newscaster. I feel really sorry for Ras. By the amount of people who gave money for her treatment, it just shows how horrified they were at what happened to her. I really like her boyfriend for what he’s doing. He does things like lift her out of her wheelchair to sit her down at the table and all without a single complaint or expression on his face.
Once upstairs, the cameras all flashed towards her and her boy and then the producers and promoters and stuff rushed to have their pictures taken with her for the newspapers. It really was like a red carpet affair. Camera bulbs flashing, people pointing, legal paparazzi crawling around.
But even that didn’t top the show. It was HILARIOUS. It was FANTASTIC. It was called “Eh Got Free Ticket….Ah?”. It was just simply, hands down, FANTASTIC.
I really think Harith Iskandar reads my blog though. When he talked about bloggers, he talked about some things he found funny, which were things I do :P Like taking pictures of half finished cups of coffee at Coffee Bean.
Me : OMG!
Other comedians were Jit Murad, Zak "Papi" Kamal and Douglas Lim. Douglas and Jit were the best. At the end they pulled up an audience member and did their own improv version of Umbrella, and it was just side splitting. It was a special performance that night since it was the last night, and also the red carpet put-in-the-newspapers night.
I wish I could go again :’( But it’s over! Aahhh…I got a poster though :D
Oh, and the Cempakan area was great! I was so surprised! I forgot my phone, so I took the pictures with my dad's phone. So next post la :) Oh and also, my return to the Pavilion two days after I went the first time with Seok etc. in August/September, but I totally forgot to post it up :)
