Not that I'm not already!!
1. My mummy only buys me my favourite cereal twice a month now! Its some raisin thingy with nuts or whatever, and is quite expensive. Somemore, I finish it within 4 days cause I have large amounts for breakfast and tea!!!!
2. Usually, theres ALWAYS something to eat in my house. Either chocolates, Cream Crackers, Maggi Mee, Cup Noodles, cake, cereal, mee, pasta, milo powder etc. Yesterday when I was famished during tea time I ransacked the pantry cupboards and I could only find 3 packets of SOUP!!!! CORN SOUP!!!! Quite nice la, but so not filling!
3. My usual weekly supply of Famous Amos stopped almost 6 months ago! Sniff...I miss Mr. Amos
4. We don't go out to eat every Saturday anymore! Infact, we quite forget its even eating out day till we finish eating!!! On the rare occasion that we do remember, its by pure luck like seeing someone cooking on TV.
5. My mom passed her friends house in Kenny Hills last night and then sighed and said to me out of the blue : Whatever your father says, we are middle class.
Me : .........................weren't we always?
Signs that we might not be as poor as I think we are
1. Instead of Famous Amos, we started having Secret Recipe three times a week. Now we've stopped that, and instead have Baskin Robbins three times a week.
2. My mom's friend's house in Kenny Hills has 10 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, an Olympic sized pool, and was constructed using bricks imported from Australia. My house has 5 rooms, 5 bathrooms, no pool, and made of fair-faced brick. So of course we pale in comparison.
3. We order take out on Saturdays.
4. My mom stopped stocking the pantry (which I just found out cost RM60,000 to build...WHY?!) since when I was at college I came home full, and so all the food went to waste, and I only got back into my evening-prowling lately, when I had nothing to do.
5. My mom only buys the cereal twice a month, because she only goes to the supermarket twice a month, because somehow when we got our new maid, all the supplies lasted twice as long and the market bills were half the price.
But that doesn't change the fact that when I go to Australia, we're gonna be destitute! I mean, they'll be living on HALF my dads salary! Poor them :D
Okay, I'm quite evil...I wont spend any unnecessary money!!!
Really!!!
