The Gardens (Part 1 of MV)

Two Saturdays ago, my sister needed directions to a house, and the house was in Damansara Heights. She didn't want to drop me home on the way back since she was headed to KLCC, so I told her to drop me off in HELP so that I could meet my friends and go out.

She told me this on Friday, when we got back from a dinner that my family hosted at my second-favourite Thai restaurant, Sri Ayulithaya - at 11.11pm. By the time I planned everything, my parents were asleep, exhausted by the effort it took them to plan the dinner (eventhough I did most of the planning), so I had to cancel the plans.

I woke up the next morning at 10. My mom asked if I wanted to go out, and if I did, to tell her fast so that she could drop me off at 11 on the way to her salon. So, at 10.30 I frantically rang up the only 2 people I thought were free, and who I had not seen in a while - Yee Ping and Seok Mei.

Yee Ping was already at Mid Valley, and I wanted to see the Gardens, so I was saved.

I met up with Ping, and took my blogging as seriously as I did at the Pavilion. She was ready for it though, but that didn't stop her from telling me not to embarrass her and to hurry up.

THE DIRECTORIES AT THE GARDENS ARE TOUCH SCREEN! I was like a small boy, pushing Ping's hands out of the way to tap the screen. Hehehe :D

We went into Coach to check the wallet prices. I thought they would be above RM1000, but...they were way below that.

We ate at Itallianies, after hunting in vain for Tony Roma's (in the end, Ping realised she hadn't seen the 'To Be Opened' notice on the directory) we ate at the very nice Itallianies. Its really nice and quite posh. I stared non-stop at the seats by the window, and the waiter got my drift.

The bar next to the restaurant :

I immediately pressed my nose up against the window to see the view, and then...

PING!!! I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE!!!

Well, you could see the monsoon longkang, and the squatter area and the low cost flats, and the road. But inside, the ambience was really great.

Not wanting to be filled up, since I had a lunch appointment with Seok, we shared a Lasagna. Very nice, but very filling - I could barely finish half.

We chatted and chatted, (I haven't seen her since Mun Yee's farewell), and then left a message on Mun Yee's voicemail (it was only 3am and she was asleep! She used to study till 5!!!). We walked around somemore then met up with Seok after Ping bought her mom's lunch.

A funny story :

Ping got into the elevator, looks around for the buttons, and sees this :

Missing the handicap sticker, she bends in half and struggles to reach and press the buttons. Meanwhile, I pressed the NORMAL buttons on my side, but didn't say anything :D

Me : Seok, this is Yee Ping
Seok : She was from A Levels ah?

"=.=

For your info Seok, Ping knows you, reads your blog, and was one of my first friends in college :)

We sat and watched Seok eat her Secret Recipe, and by the time this happened to the plate (see below), Ping had left. Note the dropped tomato and lettuce and the bottom left.

Bye Ping!

Oh, and while we were waiting for the food at Jade Express, a deaf and mute person came over for donations, so we each gave 5 bucks, and so got this :

Me : *thinks : i wonder how we're gonna split this...she gets the legs I get the body? Cut it in half?*
Ping : *tosses it to me* For you!
Me : YAYYYYY!!!!

Outing with Seok up next!

The only things I liked about the Gardens was the Itallianies, the self-playing piano, and the directorys.

Thanks Ping!
