A dream come true

*belts out in a Pavarotti-esque voice* I’M GOING TO MELBOURNE UUUUUU!!!

Okay la, I found out a long time ago…exactly a week ago rather. Last Monday. But I still didn’t know if I was gonna do twinning or go there straight or whatever.

But my dad’s follow up blood test came in today and his Hb is getting better, so its set!

Anyway, last Monday I was in Mid Valley getting my mom and sis’ new phones (so that the whole family can partake in the wonders of new phones) and then I got a call from this woman with an Australian accent.

Me : Hello? *tries to figure out who this is*

P : Hello Ruwan? This is Penny

Me : My old neighbour Penny? (she’s Australian)

P : No no, Penny from IDP!

My gosh, in real life she’s so Chinese-accenty!

P : You’ve got a letter here from Melbourne Uni. Would you like to come collect it?

Me : Sure.

My mom didn’t want to cause she said it would be jammed at this time. So after some argument, I said fine. My sis got into the drivers seat and started driving home.

Suddenly, she veered off course.

My mom & I : This isn’t the way home!

My sis : Your getting that letter today!

We arrived at Subang at 5.01. Then I ran into Min Yang and his bro and mom who were just leaving. They told me that IDP was closed. It closed at 5.00.

I don’t know why, but I just rushed down the lane. But in front of me were these two African guys who wouldn’t move faster, so I began walking between the cars. Then, I hit my hipbone on the parking meter. OUCH! It’s still hurting today when I move in certain angles. Anyway, there was a garbage bag there too, and so when I passed it a whole bunch of flies swarmed up. Eww.

Anyway, the steel door was half closed, so I ducked under it and ran passed the security guard to Penny. Got it, and went back home satisfied.

I mean, do you understand?

I GOT IN….WOO HOO! Hahaha! Ow, my hip. Sniff.

And even better, I might not have to stay in the dorm, my parents said if I want to, I can live in an apartment (Arrow on Swanston) since it gives food =)

That’s where most of the Cempakans stayed for a year when they went to Trinity, but I don’t know what the internets like. Anyone?
