Genting : Prelude

So I just got back from Genting, suprisingly ache-free. One of my main goals on this little adventure of mine was to circumvent any of the things that my mom said could go wrong. I think I succeeded well enough.

Before I get on with the nitty-gritty details of my first outstation adventure with friends (Study Skills doesn't count) let me just set you into the story so you'll understand my rants stories that are to come.

I'm kidding.

No rants.

Not many.

Yours truly and a few others (Pearly and Emy), got to work hammering out the tiresome necessities for the trip even before exams had begun. When my parents agreed to let me go with a little persuasion, I was a tad surprised, but still very happy. And so, planning went on, and Emy's wonderful parents said that they would get all our rooms with their points so it would be free!

But then, as you all know, in the middle of my dream one early-morning, I was hired for a job which I had no idea existed, and of course, with my luck, it fell on my fore-planned trip-days.

Having a aunt/boss that could make Miranda Priestley go into hiding in Iraq, I was ready to throw up my hands in defeat till salvation swept me up in the form of a mix-up on my timetable which led to me having half of Tuesday and the whole of Wednesday off.

So while the others (Pearly, Lixia, Wei Xiong, Emy, Jia Hui, Charmaine and Hannah) drove up on Monday, I slaved away at work, and upon returning to my hut dragged out all the bags in my cupboard (including suitcases) to see what would serve my needs the most. Suitcases were ruled out immediately, and bags were narrowed down to a large blue PriceWaterHouse carrier (which could fit me inside if the need arose), and my regular college-bag.

After I finished packing and went off to watch TV and consequently fell asleep my mom forced in some stuff she thought I would need, and when I woke up the next day she filled me in on everything she added in that would help me in almost every situation that arose. One exception to the 'solutions' she stuffed in was the solution to me falling off some cliff.

After finishing work at 12pm on Tuesday, I rushed back home and wolfed down my 'special lunch', and immediately began adding in miscellaneous things in my room that I didn't think I would need before, but my brain somehow deemed necessary in that whirlwind of stress, worry and excitement. My dad however took his own sweet time coming back from his meeting and with his lunch and changing and so finally we set off.

And so began my epic adventure.

(I was supposed to reach at 3, ended up reaching at 3.10, waited till 3.20 for the others to abandon their ongoing festivities and sexy-times at the indoor theme park, and then got scolded for coming 2o minutes late) - Just thought you had the right to know.

Till I get the pictures my dear readers;
au revoir, auf Wiedersehen and arrivederci.
