Chemistry 5 was bad. it was sooo bad. i just wanted the paper to end as soon as possible, and for mr ronnie to say 'okay, times up'. why? so that i wont feel so bad that i couldnt answer the questions and sort-of blame it on insufficient time. i know, its as good as deluding myself and deep down inside, i know the paper was funky as hell.. in other words, it didnt have anything to do with insufficient time. but really. i was just like 'oh shit. oh shit. oh shit' everytime i flipped the page. sure reminds me of the physics competition i did in form 5... flip one page, 'ohhh its okay, next question sure can do one'... next question, 'aiyo... NEXT', flip flip flip, until the last page, and i realized i circled 95% of the questions cos i didnt knwo how to do any. pretty much the same story as my chem. just that this time, i cant do any guessing and innie-minnie-miny-moe-ing.

Biology 4... it was much MUCH MUCH better than the previous jan 06 exam. no complaints :)

Biology 5... it was plaaaainnn weirddddddd. there was insufficient time to do the paper properly, for real this time :p and the marks allocation was just so 'what the hell'?! non cyclic phosphorylation in photosynthesis is a blooody freakinggg loonggggggggggg process. but, they only gave 4 marks for that. and so little lines. so, which point to write, that will give me my 4 marks? write everything la. sampai the bottom of the page also not enough. then flip to the synoptic questions, which all came from unit 3... some weird thingy about hamster brown fat. and that question was 6 marks... and hella lot of lines, that i am sure would have been more than enough for the aforementioned photosynthesis 4 marks question. ive this habit of skipping everything that has to do with analyzing graphs until all the 'free marks questions' are done, when it comes to bio. and it has worked thus far. so, okay, skip. went on, and on and on.

the final 45 minutes, time go back to the graphs. bloody hell. almost all the synoptic questions had graphs, and WEIRD graphs at that. like the hamster question graph about the fella's metabolism and rate of oxygen intake, and some funny thing to do with stomatal opening and light and stuff liddat la. it's like combining two graphs with tiny tiny spots to answer the questions. so much for manipulation of data, when the difference between the points are so damn tiny, its practically insignificant and impossible to see how the two thingies differ. time was really a biggg problem. there wasn't enough time to analyze whatever tiny dots i could see on the graph, understand, and relate it to bio.

in the end, i resorted to writing in broken english, something along the lines of 'transpiration rate increases; light intensity increases in the day, maximum stomal opening. at night, close stomata as no sun. temperature too high, close stomata to prevent wilting/excessive water loss-> adapted to dry and hot conditions'. some weirdddd funny sentences that when i read, i was like 'oh my god... even i dont understand what the hell this is'. but cos of the time constraint, i couldnt afford to go back to write it nicely cos i had to do other questions, that hopefully, the examiner will understand what im trying to say and give me my points...... i actually had arrows in my answers. my points were all jumbled up la. aih. the worst part is, its not like i didnt know my work :(

lets not even start on my handwriting. my handwriting is bad enough when i have sufficient time. what more now, when im working in such a tight time frame.

damn sakit hati la.

sigh. -_-

forgive me for being nerdy. i just feel very shortchanged cos of the bio 5 paper. it was kinda unrealistic, in my opinion, to have to so many long questions, with weird marks, and weird TINY graphs to be analyzed and tied in with bio, in such a short period of time. maybe for econs, yeah... i guess its the norm. but, when it comes to bio, this has never happened before in the past year questions, even the jan 07 paper... even ms foong said there wasn't sufficient time :p so. yeah.

*hopes like crazy edexcel moderation will be very nice to the students of the world*
