Lixia : But I thought you were satisfied with your results?
Me : Huh? Who told you that?
Lixia : Ching! She said you said as long as you get even 2A's you'll be so happy
Today :
Ching Ching : eh I heard you did quite well for exams huh?
Me : Huh? Who told you that?
Ching : Lixia!
Me : ..................
Anyway, results were...hectic
I counted down everyday and smsed people the countdowns, and reminded them in college...The day before I started the 'hours' countdown, and on the day itself, during my class I wrote down 120 minutes till O minutes on my table, and erased as each minute went by.
Meanwhile Ms Kana was telling us that those who resat Unit 1 and 2 better be prepared to get disappointed cause the marks were abysmal cause they changed the mark scheme...I was biting my nails off!
Pearly, Lixia and Charmaine were going to go with me to collect results together-gether incase I died and they needed to call an ambulance...
In the end Charmaine and I ended up munching on chips in McD's for an hour waiting for them...then my mom suddenly messaged and said she was already at college cause she didnt get my message in time...So I told her results were being released that day (I didnt tell her before) and that I needed more time...Finally Charmaine and I decided to go get them ourselves, but then we ran into Pearly and Lixia who were just arriving...
So we all went and collected our slips except Charmaine who didnt want to that day. We all placed them face down and I counted down from three....
But then Lixia didnt open her paper cause she was too scared so I didnt either. Pearly however being as blur as usual was busy reading her results, so I relented and flipped the paper over as Charmaine rushed over to kpc (cause I had been whining and moaning and worrying on and on for hours before that) and so Lixia couldnt stand it and with a big 'YYYEEERRRR' read her paper too.
Before this I had accompanied some other friends to get their results, and they all were so disappointed and almost crying except for Yee Ping who was estatic...and I learnt that the female race is so KPC...out of NOWHERE suddenly Manpreet and Ee Ling turned up:
Manpreet : Ruwan what did you get!
Me : Im not taking it yet!
M : WHY?! TAKE IT NOW LA! GO!!!
Me : no! no! cannot! later! But what did YOU get? *checks out results*
Ee Ling : Ruwan what did you get!
Me : I havent taken it yet!
EL : Huh? WHY!!! TAKE NOW LA!
Me : *shakes head*
EL : come on!!! please!!! ruwan!!!
Me : noooo!
EL : pulls me to results table!
Me : no no no! Ill sms you okay!!! But what did YOU get? *checks out results*
Yee Ping and Aaron didnt spare me either!
YP : RUWAN! GO GET YOUR RESULTS NOW!
Me : no!!! later la!!!
YP : GIVE ME YOUR ID! GIVE ME YOUR ID! ILL GO GET IT!
Me : what!!! NOOO!
YP : GIVE ME LAAA!!!!
Me : Later later! But what did YOU get? *checks out results*
Aaron : eh what did you get?
Me : I didnt take it yet!
A : dont lie la!
Me : seriously!
A : take now la!
Me : no no! later later! But what did YOU get? *checks out results*
And then in McD's
Kian Mun : hey man, what did you get la?
Me : didnt get yet la!
KM : eh come on
Me : SERIOUS!
*10 minutes later*
KM : hey man, what did you get la?
Me : I DIDNT GET IT YET!
KM : oh yeah hor
So you can imagine I was petrified when I was checking it....but then....
My first reaction was....
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA.....OMGGGGGGGGGGG....OMGGG!!! HAHAHAHAHAH"
*Jumps up from chair tipping over phone, wallet, pencil box and open bag*
And in the end it turned out that Charmaine had actually collected her results in secret way before we met up with her, but didnt want to tell anyone.
I typed out my results very neatly here, but decided not to post them up =p Its quite tacky, and my insanely smart Oxford-interviewee friends in the UK dont need to know right? =p
So, a summary :
I resat Chem 1, 2, and Phy 2...Chem 1 moved to an A, Chem 2 increased by 1 mark (but still not an A which is weird cause its the only bad Chem I have now), Phy 2 WENT DOWN TO A D!!!
Thank God you can choose which results to use, and thank god my aim for physics is a B. (I actually was aiming for a C, but just to be on the safe side results-wise I moved it to a B).
As for Physics 4...
The first thought in my mind when I saw it was 'OH MY FREAKING GOD, I BEAT SEOK MEI!' (who for those of you who dont know her, got 6 perfect scores (100/100) including physics, and the other two were high A's, in the previous semester exams) . And the rest of my class, and most of the rest of A levels! =p
I BEAT SHUN JING GOD DAMN IT! =P =P =P = P
MY FIRST A FOR PHYSICS IN A LEVELS! I can get C's for all the easier papers but A for this...hmmm....
My dad's eyes popped open when he saw it and said 'How did you get A for physics?! HOW? how did this HAPPEN!?!!?'
Im so thankful to my A in Econs 3, cause I really expected a B or a C...Somemore I got 99 okay...I mean....so unexpected...
Math I expected to Fail, but scraped a pass...Thank God since I left out 30 marks worth of questions cause after 5 exams on the same day I just couldnt take it. The funny thing is even with that horrible mark I still get an A overall for Math, and I hope I can mantain that final A for the final exam in June =)
The other results were either what I thought I should get or higher =p So I was a very happy little underage kid when I got into my car...
So nows the final push....
I can do it if not barely (as in get AAA), but I CAN do it...
I actually CAN!
That thought itself makes me high...
I HAVE THE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING AAA!
Hopefully I will! All will be known in September =) My future...If I do Bachelor of Law & Commerce (AAA, 5 years) or Bachelor of Commerce (AAB in Melb/ABB in Monash, 3 years) will ride on this...
