This is precisely why I cannot work for people.
The control freak (or rather stubborn fart) cum perfectionist in me reveals itself. And it gets quite undiplomatic sometimes.
Here’s a little snippet from my LAN project discussion. We were adding the finishing touches to the 3500 essay.
Guess which one is me. I’ll give you a cookie :) I think once you reach the ‘second’ half of it, it’ll be quite obvious.
‘Eh. I edited some stuff la. Don’t worry… it’s still above 3500 words.’
‘Huh? You sure ar. Like so short one’.
‘Chill la. It’s fineeeee... I’ll go to class now la huh. If you need me, you call me la’
*reads thru a bit here and there*
‘You changed quite a lot la.’
‘I had to. You realize what you typed or not? It’s a research paper.. but you contradicted the results in the ‘discussion’ part. Apa ni?’
‘Oh.. okay la okay la. You go to class la. I just look thru’

‘Come to the reading room!’
*runs from ORGANIC CHEM*
*some arguing has already started, while two of my other team members just sit there and keep quiet. The following is the argument between me and another group member… By the time it reached this stage, we were practically screaming (I kid you not) at each other already, attracting stares from other tables*
‘Eh. You know ar… I think it’s okay to contradict la. I mean, its our own results what. And its OUR point of view of the thing’.
‘Yeah… you see, it would be okay to contradict, if you guys read what I wrote in some of the ‘discussion’ paragraphs and not simply add stuff just for the sake of making it longer… first part of it I put there we agree.. suddenly I read thru, the second paragraph that you guys added disagrees, or vice versa.’
‘Oh… but still.. I think we should use mine la. Contradict mai contradict la. Just give her la. Not like she reads anyway. Somemore, I did the contents page according to my copy already’

‘No. Cannot. I will NOT let you guys hand up sub standard, bad quality stuff with MY name on it. I seriously doubt she’ll be that particular about the contents page. And anyway, the parts that you guys added that were relevant, I rephrased it la so that its easier to read.’
‘Use mine la ok? Longer also. Look better.’
‘You want the truth… why we can’t use your copy? *1 dB short of a banshee* The English sucks. Period.’
The last sentence was like the ultimate for him already la… I just got a glimpse of his face before I stormed off. Surprisingly, from that tiny bit I saw, he didn't look pissed at all.
Anyway, it's all good now. He's still smiling, I am still smiling.... We still say hi when we see each other in corridors... that's a good thing right?
Worse part is, after all that screaming, I didn't get to see what they binded and handed up in the end cos I couldn't go for LAN that day cos I had to go to Sunway College. Sigh.. all that negativity for nothing. I SERIOUSLY hope they didn't hand up the one with the icky English.
On another note, my car's coming tomorrow! WHEEEE! :D can ponteng more often now. Lol. I am happy I am getting my car for all the wrong reasons.

ACTUALLY I was kiasu-ing so I looked at every single groups one...Mine was the 2nd best ;)
